The Scriptures
The Bible, in its sixty-six books, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God — our final authority in all matters of faith and life.

Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in East Belfast
We exist to magnify God and communicate His Good News, baptise believers, welcome them into our Church family, disciple and equip them to serve.
“Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17
About Us
Castlereagh Baptist Church is a family of ordinary people who have been saved by an extraordinary Saviour. Situated in the Castlereagh area of East Belfast, we are a conservative evangelical church, committed to the truth of God's Word and the good news of Jesus Christ.
For generations our doors have been open to the people of Belfast. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, and so we make it our business to read it, preach it, and live by it. Our services are simple and reverent: we sing, we pray, and we open the Scriptures together to hear what God has said.
Whether you have been a Christian for many years, or you are simply curious about who Jesus is, you will find a genuine welcome here. Come as you are, and come expecting to hear from God.
What We Believe
We hold to the historic Christian faith as it has been believed and confessed by Baptists for centuries. These are not merely doctrines on a page, but truths we love, preach, and live by.
The Bible, in its sixty-six books, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God — our final authority in all matters of faith and life.
2 Timothy 3:16–17There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power and glory.
Matthew 28:19Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, sinless in life, crucified for our sins, bodily risen, and coming again in glory.
John 1:1,14Salvation is wholly of God's grace, received through faith alone in Christ alone — not by works, so that no one may boast.
Ephesians 2:8–9Baptism by immersion is for those who have personally trusted Christ — a public confession of faith and a picture of union with Him.
Romans 6:3–4Christ's church is a gathered body of baptised believers, self-governing under Him, devoted to worship, the Word, fellowship, and the ordinances.
Acts 2:41–42The Lord Jesus will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead, and to establish His everlasting kingdom.
Acts 1:11Every believer is called to make Christ known — in East Belfast, throughout Ireland, and to the ends of the earth.
Matthew 28:18–20Castlereagh Baptist Church stands in fellowship with the wider family of Baptist churches across Ireland, sharing a common confession of faith.
Service Times
Our services are reverent, warm, and centred on the preaching of God's Word. You need no invitation — simply come along, and we will be glad to see you.
11:00am
Our main gathering of the week. We sing, pray, and hear the Word preached. Sunday School for children runs during the sermon.
6:30pm
A quieter gathering to close the Lord's Day — with hymns, prayer, and a further message from the Scriptures.
7:30pm
The engine room of the church. We gather midweek to pray for one another, for Belfast, and for the world, and to study a book of the Bible together.
There is no dress code and no pressure. Arrive a few minutes early, and someone at the door will show you where to go and help you feel at home.
